The one restaurant in Cedar Run was closed that day also. We love this trail and have completed every mile at least twice. While there is water available at several places, this water isnt tested for contaminants. When you get to the parking lot there is a surprise waiting for you: a New York Central caboose! The Pine Creek Rail Trail runs along route 414 through this section, 1.8 miles to Black Walnut Bottom, a nice pull off, park and picnic spot along the creek, then 2.7 miles to Ross Run and then 3.1 miles to the Cammal Comfort Station. We had rain jackets with us, which helped. We rode the 62 mile trek in one day and what a wonderful ride it was. We averaged about 2 MPH slower than we would have done on pavement. You could also rent a bike from a local outfitter if in doubt. A really enjoyable trail with lots to see. I didn't see one pothole. What a great town with lots of places to eat, we recommend the diner and the steak house.
